Alright, I’ll admit, not my best savings trip. I was trying to get the grocery list done quickly and I didn’t go back through and make sure I got all of the items aligned with the sales. I was actually pretty bummed I didn’t do a better job.

You’ll notice that I didn’t buy any meat. This was on purpose. We still had a lot of meat in the freezer. I buy a lot of meat at one time when it’s on sale and I freeze it for trips like this when we are keeping our cost down.

Since I grocery shop every 2 weeks when we get paid, I plan out what I’m buying. This trip was more focused on pantry items and snacks. We are going to use the meat in the freezer for meals in this paycheck cycle. Next grocery trip will be focused more on meat and less on pantry items since I stocked up this trip. Groceries are very expensive and this way I can keep my costs down and focus on stockpiling.
